How else are scammers hacking accounts?!👇👇👇

SAVE THIS NOW AND READ IT LATER!

The main way is….
😱 FEAR: Many of these accounts that appear to be official meta-accounts will capitalize on fear of your page being hacked or shut down. They will say things like “FINAL WARNING” or “YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DISABLED”.
🛑 ✋🏻Before you freak out 😱 when you see this… we suggest you:
1. Breath
2. Resist the urge to click anything - WE REPEAT, DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING! The hacker wants you to freak out.. click the link and give them your login info immediately before you even know you’ve done something compromising. 🤦🏻‍♀️
3. Notice that most of the time the logos aren’t official with slight variations. Also, the written English is typically broken or not punctuated properly. These are dead give aways that you’re dealing with a scammer.
4. Next you need to REPORT & BAN that user and delete their messages! 👏👏👏 BYE BYE LOSER!! ❌

How else are they scamming people? 🤨

🥸 Fake Personas: Fake followers with believeable names will be interacting with people in your audience within the comments section and saying things like, “they have been trying to friend request but it’s not working and I would love to connect (insert nefarious link here)”.

The sad truth is, many people fall prey to these imposters because new friends are fun! 👯‍♀️ Scammers are smart and will take the operation from the comments section to the DMs where they can’t be stopped as easily. They isolate your followers, send clickable links and steal your followers personal identification/ bank account info/ or social pages.

📝👩🏻‍💻These are some of the things we have been learning in the last couples years and we can’t stand to see another business/person get hacked by these tactics!
